NOVINGER, MO. -- Several people gathered at the Novinger fairgrounds on Saturday to support a local club as well enjoy some good ol' racing.

Dirt bikes and ATVs were on the dirt track participating in various drag races.

Riders of all ages and from all around the Heartland came to compete in the double elimination competition.

The kids took home medals, and the adults got some extra cash in their pockets.

There were twelve different classes.

Organizers say the goal of the event is to have good, safe racing as well as raise money for Novinger’s lions club, which invests in the Novinger community.

This is the second drag race the club has hosted this year, and they plan to have another one on Labor Day.
