CHILLICOTHE, MO. -- A one-vehicle accident has taken the life of a Chillicothe man.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 21-year-old James Reynolds was killed in an accident around 1 p.m. Saturday. He was driving a Nissan Pathfinder southbound on Highway A near Chillicothe, Mo, when he lost control due to the slick roadway.

The SUV traveled off the road and troopers said Reynolds overcorrected, leaving the SUV to travel off the other side of the road and overturn. Reynolds was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:35 p.m. by Livingston County Coroner Scott Lindley.
