NEAR NOVINGER, MO. -- A northeast Missouri woman is involved in an accident on Route six near Novinger.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 26- year-old Miranda Mayes of Kirksville was driving an SUV along the highway, when it traveled off the right side of the road and overturned. The accident happened around 10 Friday night.

Mayes received minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.

She was then arrested by troopers an hour later for driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving, and driving without insurance. The Adair County Sheriff's Office tells KTVO she was released to her mother around 10 Saturday morning.
