Family feud sends son to jail

KIRKSVILLE, MO -- A Kirksville teenager is arrested and charged with 2nd-degree domestic assault, a Class C felony.

 

According to the Kirksville Police Department, Ryan Casady, 17, had a physical altercation with his father, Greg Casady Thursday evening.

 

Authorities said when they arrived at the Casady home, Greg Casady was lying on the ground holding his left arm.

 

He told police his son came to pick up a vehicle from the residence, but it wouldn’t start.

 

When he approached his son, Ryan Casady allegedly pushed his father in the chest and then Greg Casady pushed back.

 

According to Greg Casady, his son then grabbed him around the neck and threw him to the ground, injuring his arm.

 

Casady remains in custody on $25,000 cash only bond.
