KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- Construction on a northeast Missouri highway may impact your commute to work this week.
On Monday- Thursday, June 18-21, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Missouri Route 6, will be reduced to one lane from Kirksville to Edina.
MoDOT Area Engineer Amy Crawford said crews are cinder sealing the highway in order to protect it from weathering and water damage.
All lanes will be open to traffic at the end of each workday. Flaggers will be there to help direct traffic.
MoDOT urges motorists to use alternate routes if possible.
