KIRKSVILLE, MO -- Looking for a place to put that loose change? Well, Hospice of Northeast Missouri has just the place for you.

Its Quarter Mile Campaign kicked off Friday and will run through July 13.

The goal is to raise 63,360 quarters which would be enough quarters to fill one mile.

This is the third annual event and the Executive Director of Hospice is appreciative for the support the community shows for the fundraiser. "This is a big feat to raise this much money in a month," said Stephanie Byrum. "It is absolutely wonderful to see the community support come out and give us their change, their dollars, their donations. It's a great feeling. It's a really fun campaign to do."

In all, 11 banks in counties that Hospice of Northeast Missouri covers are participating in the fundraiser as well.

Each bank will have a donation container for the campaign.
