KEOSAUQUA, IOWA -- People were moving and grooving to live music and sipping on some fine wine out at Whispering Pines Winery in Keosauqua on Sunday afternoon.

Every month the winery features a live band. And from 1 until 5 p.m. the “Home Brood Band” had people out of their chairs and out on the dance floor.

Owners Steve and Becki Tucker said people look forward to this event every month.

Just recently, the Tuckers entered two of their wines into the New York International Competition in Rochester, N.Y.

“White Diamond and Ramblin’ Rose -- and the White Diamond received a silver and the Ramblin’ Rose took a gold. Really proud. It’s rewarding, very rewarding,” said Steve Tucker.

The Tuckers have been making commercial wines for the past five years.
