Two-car crash in Macon County sends three to hospital

GALAXY, MO. -- A head-on two car crash just before noon Saturday in Macon County sends three people to the hospital.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a Dodge Ram pickup crossed the center line of Highway T near Galaxy, Mo., and struck a Ford SUV head-on that was traveling in the opposite direction.

The pickup was driven by 53-year-old Leo Johnson of Macon, Mo.  He was transported by ambulance to Samaritan Hospital in Macon with moderate injuries.

The Ford SUV was driven by 72-year-old Florence Rives of Callao, Mo. She has been transported by helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia, Mo. with moderate injuries. 74-year-old Walter Rives of Callao, Mo. was also riding in the vehicle. He had minor injuries.
