WACO, TEXAS -- Two northeast Missouri residents are heading to federal prison for their roles in a pair of bank robberies.

Jacob Norris of Macon and Alexia Baker of Shelbyville pleaded guilty in March 2012 to federal charges in Waco, Texas.

This week, federal Judge Walter Smith sentenced Norris to six years in prison, while Baker was sentenced to three-and-a-half years.

Both were fined a $1,000, and they must pay $1,600 in restitution.

Norris and Baker each pleaded guilty to one count of bank robbery and one count of aiding and abetting a bank robbery with a dangerous weapon.

They admitted serving as the getaway driver and lookout while a third person, Jeffrey Heckman of Macon robbed the Merchants and Farmers Bank in Columbia, Missouri in July 2011.

They also admit aiding and abetting Heckman while he robbed a credit union in Temple, Texas, last July.

Norris and Baker will serve a minimum of 85 percent of their sentence behind bars.

They'll be placed under supervised release when they get out.

Heckman will be sentenced on May 31, 2012, in Waco.

He pleaded guilty to three counts of bank robbery, two counts of bank robbery with a dangerous weapon and one count of carrying a firearm during a crime of violence.

Heckman admitted that he stole about $33,000 in five bank robberies, including the June 2011 holdup at Preferred Bank in Brookfield, the June robbery at Citizens Bank in Harrison County and the July 2011 robbery at Merchants and Farmers Bank in Columbia.

The three suspects were captured in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, in September 2011.
