Police determined that Eden Gurerra, 21, had been stabbed around 4 a.m. that morning in the 1000 block of West Third Street.

On April 24 and 26, four 18-year-old men were arrested in connection with the crime. David Venegas, Emmanuel Lopez, Lorenzo Gabriel Langarcia and Glen Lopez are each charged with Joint Criminal Conduct - Burglary in the 1st Degree.

Venegas is additionally charged with Willful Injury, a Class C Felony.

According to Ottumwa Police Chief Jim Clark, it is not the first arrest for two of the men. Langarcia and Lopez were arrested in June 2010 in a gang shooting during which Joel Harrarte, now 18, was shot in the chest.

All four men are being held in the Wapello County Jail with bond set at $25,000.
