STOCKPORT, IA -- A Stockport teen is in custody after authorities recovered stolen firearms from a residence in Stockport.
According to the Van Buren County Sheriff's Office, on Friday, April 13, they responded to a report of a burglary at a residence in Stockport. The homeowner reported that several firearms were missing from the home and that they believe the burglar entered through an unsecure door.
On Sunday, while investigating the case, the Sheriff's Office said they found eight of the stolen firearms in a neighboring residence in Stockport. The Sheriff's Office said a 17-year-old male has been arrested and transported to a juvenile detention facility in Montrose, Iowa.
He has been been charged with Burglary in the second degree, a class C felony.
