Senior citizen pleads in drug case

KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- A Kirksville woman charged with selling drugs out of her downtown Kirksville apartment has entered a guilty plea.

Nancy Wadel, 68, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance. She entered the guilty plea Tuesday in Adair County Circuit Court.

Wadel was sentenced to four years probation by Judge Russell Steele. If she violates her probation, Wadel could face up to seven years in prison.

Wadel's daughter, Monica Wadel, 45, of Greentop, is also charged in the case. April second is the date set for her next court appearance.
