LANCASTER, MO. -- (UPDATED at 5:35 p.m. Friday, March 16) - Schuyler County Sheriff Carl "Fritz" Gottman confirmed that Nathan Schafer has turned himself in to the Schuyler County Sheriff's Office.
Gottman said Schafer was being booked into the jail at 5:30 p.m. Friday.

Heartland law enforcement authorities are again asking for your help in tracking down a fugitive.
The Schuyler County Sheriff's Office is asking for your help in locating Nathan Schafer, 21, of Lancaster, Missouri.
Schafer is wanted on a charge of first degree assault in connection with the beating of another man that occurred in Lancaster earlier this month.
The incident caused the victim to suffer serious injuries.
When arrested, Schafer will be held on a $70,000 cash only bond.
