Suspects arrested in vandalism spree

OTTUMWA, IOWA -- Ottumwa Police Chief Jim Clark announced late Tuesday evening that four juveniles were in custody, accused of vandalizing over $20,000 of personal property.

According to Chief Clark, between March 12th and March 13th, the police department received nearly 40 reports of broken car windows throughout the City of Bridges.

The estimated damage quoted by the department is over $20,000.

The arrests were made early Monday morning, near the intersection of Vine and Weller Streets.

In total, four juveniles were taken into custody and were charged with Criminal Mischief in the 2nd Degree and Joint Criminal Conduct.

All four suspects were taken to a juvenile detention facility.
