Another win for Dr. Steve Barber with the court hearing the appeal of his conviction for witness tampering.

The Western District Appeals Court ruled Friday that Barber could go to Florida for two weeks to visit a friend. Since Barber is out on bond until his appeal is heard, the court must approve him leaving the state. This is the second time Barber has been allowed to leave the state. The motion was opposed by the state attorney general's office, who is handling the appeal.

Adair County Prosecutor Matt Wilson, who prosecuted the initial case, told KTVO late Friday afternoon that his office was "once again disappointed by the decision, but will respect the court's decision and move forward".

Earlier this week the court granted Barber's attorney extra time to file briefs in the case.
