OTTUMWA, IA -- Spring break is just around the corner for kids. That means one thing: no school.

For working parents, that may cause some anxiety. Parents are trying to decide what to do with their kids during the daytime work hours.

The Ottumwa YMCA is offering a special “Spring Y-Camp” for kids in kindergarten through sixth grades. There will be many activities including swimming, interactive games, and field trips.

“You can pick the days you need and not the days you don’t. So that way you don’t have to pay for the entire week if you only need 3 days,” says Ottumwa YMCA Marketing Director Garrett Ross.

The YMCA had a similar camp during winter break and they received great feedback.

“All of the kids had such a great time. They had a say on what we got to do each day and they really enjoyed it,” says Ross.

The camp runs from March 21-25. The cost is 30 dollars for members and 35 dollars for non-members.
