Phone, 911 service disrupted in Van Buren County

KEOSAUQUA, IOWA -- The Van Buren County Sheriff's Department notified KTVO about 4:45 Tuesday afternoon that phone service in parts of the county has been disrupted.

A line owned by Windstream Communications has been accidently cut.

At this time there is no phone, internet or 9-1-1 service in the Douds, Leando, and Milton areas.

Crews have been dispatched to make repairs, but service will not be re-established until 9 p.m. Tuesday at the earliest.

9-1-1 service will only be available on a cell phone.
