CENTERVILLE, IOWA -- The body of a Centerville Marine killed on duty last week is scheduled to arrive in his hometown on Friday.

Lange Funeral Home told KTVO Wednesday evening that the body of Marine Master Sergeant Travis Riddick, 40, is due to arrive at the Ottumwa airport around 4 p.m. Friday.

Riddick's funeral is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday at the Simon Estes Auditorium at Centerville High School.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Lange Funeral Home in Centerville.

Riddick was serving in Afghanistan when his helicopter crashed last Thursday, Jan. 19, killing him and five others.

The cause is still under investigation.

So far, it is unknown if it was caused by enemy fire or technical difficulties.
