LEWIS COUNTY, MO. -- Two Heartland men convicted of making meth at a Northeast Missouri Senior Housing complex have been sentenced.

According to the Lewis County Sheriff's Office, Charles Lay, 26, of rural Lewistown, Mo. has been sentenced to 7 years in the Department of Corrections for the class b felony of attempted manufacture of a controlled substance dating back to an incident that occurred on Oct. 22, 2011.

Lay was apprehended manufacturing methamphetamine in the La Belle senior housing development.

Also sentenced was Roman Lay, 24, of rural Lewistown, Mo. He has been sentenced to 7 years in the Department of Corrections for the class b felony of attempted manufacture of a controlled substance. Roman Lay was also apprehended when manufacturing methamphetamine in the La Belle senior housing development.
