Mt. Pleasant man passes away after car slides into ditch

FAIRFIELD, IA -- A southeast Iowa man has passed away after being involved in a fatal accident on Highway 34.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, around 5:30 Friday evening, Bradley Goodrich, 31, of Mt. Pleasant, was traveling eastbound on Highway 34 in Fairfield, when his Chrysler Sebring left the roadway and entered a ditch. He was transported to the Jefferson Community Health Center and later pronounced dead.

The Patrol said he was not wearing a seatbelt.
