DES MOINES, IOWA -- A new website has been launched to help Iowa school districts combat the bullying of students.

The website will take reports from students, parents, teachers and staff members, and forward the reports to the school districts.

It's run by the Eychaner Foundation, a Des Moines nonprofit group, who seeks to promote tolerance and nondiscrimination.

According to the Foundation, once the online forms are filled out, they will automatically be sent to the school district by email and U.S. mail. Members of the Foundation said they will also track the complaints and release the number and types of reports filed in an annual report to the public and the Iowa legislature.

Iowa law requires school districts to report bullying cases to the Iowa Department of Education, but, in 2011, more than half of Iowa school districts didn't report any bullying.

Foundation Executive Director Michael Bowser said there are many reasons for why reports aren't being made but he said he hopes the website could make it easier to report bullying.
