MACON, MO./BROOKFIELD, MO. -- For the Facebook Story of the Day, KTVO’s Facebook fans wanted to know whatever happened in the case of the northeast Missouri business owner charged with selling imitation controlled substances.
The charge came following a raid at the SmellgoodZ businesses in Macon and Brookfield. The raids went down at the businesses in February of this year. Numerous totes full of products were seized.
Business owner Travis Lovett is charged with a felony count of intent to deliver an imitation controlled substance and a misdemeanor count of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
His case is moving slowly through the court system. A preliminary hearing has been held. The case is currently on hold as the judge reviews briefs filed by the attorneys for both sides. No court date is set in the case.
