Utility worker shocked on the job

BURLINGTON, IOWA -- An Alliant Energy employee has been hospitalized after being shocked while working at a Burlington, Iowa substation.

A spokesman told a local newspaper that the employee was doing maintenance work Thursday morning when he was hurt.

The substation was still in operation when work was being done.

Alliant Energy is investigating the incident.

The employee's name and details of his injuries have not been released.
