Centerville police say officers were doing a routine business check at Smith Fertilizer and Grain on South 24th Street on Tuesday night.

Officers noticed an individual running from the establishment's anhydrous ammonia tank. Further investigation revealed a tank had been tampered with and was leaking.

The suspects were later located in the area, and questioned in regard to the theft. As a result, it was determined the three men had entered into a common scheme to manufacture meth.

All three remain in jail on $50,000 bond.
