KIRKSVILLE, MO -- The Adair County Family YMCA looks a lot different inside.

It received eight new treadmills, six ellipticals, two bikes, two stair steppers and a strength training circuit set from the company Precore.

All of the treadmills arrived in crates and the Precore team assembled them in the gym. The Kirksville Police Department disassembled and carried out the old strength training equipment. The entire renovation process took about fifteen hours.

The YMCA worked on renovations in the child care areas as well as in the aerobics room. A new space was also created for the spinning classes.

Executive Director Sarah Riffer said, "We're hoping that we help each member or potential new members meet their individual goals or lifestyle."

So far everyone who has used the new equipment loves it.
