Below is a press release from the Ottumwa Police Department concerning additional charges against Breanna Goemaat.
KTVO viewers will remember that last week, Goemaat was arrested for conducting a door-to-door scam that involved donations to a fake softball team.
Goemaat was arrested again on Monday, after more residents said they had contact with Goemaat.

On August 18, 2011 at approximately 7:00 PM, the Ottumwa Police Department arrested 20 year-old Breanna E. Goemaat of Ottumwa following several complaints of a female going door-to-door soliciting donations for a softball team or league.
At the time, Goemaat was charged with three counts of Forgery, three counts of Theft in the Fifth Degree, and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
She was accused of obtaining checks as donations, altering and cashing them, and then keeping the money for herself. Goemaat posted bail and was released from the Wapello County Jail.
After continuing the investigation into the scam, Goemaat was again arrested by Ottumwa Police on August 22nd at approximately 2:00 PM and charged with an additional seventeen counts of Theft in the 5th Degree. After Goemaat’s first arrest was publicized, additional people contacted the Police Department and stated they were also victims of the scam. Goemaat was transported to the Wapello County Jail where she posted bond and was released.
