KIRKSVILLE, MO -- A Kirksville man pleads guilty to a sex-related felony.

Joseph Huegerich, 27, was charged with sexual assault following an incident involving a teenage female last year.

According to court documents, the victim was allegedly assaulted by Huegerich, who was her case worker from Learning Opportunities in Kirksville.

Adair County Prosecutor Matt Wilson says a plea bargain was reached with the involvement and approval of the victim.

According to the agreement, Huegerich was given five years probation.

He is also required to register as a sex offender and complete a  treatment program.

He will be supervised by Probation and Parole, and must get a mental health evaluation.
