KEOKUK, COUNTY -- It's barbeque time in Hedrick.
The rural Keokuk County town was prepping Friday for its 52nd Annual Barbeque Days.
It wasn't hard to figure out the main attraction of the three day celebration Friday afternoon as the smell of barbeque wafted down the street from the Hedrick Fire Department smoker.
Hedrick kids kicked off the celebration with a sidewalk art contest.
The fun gets into high gear on Saturday morning with a parade followed by a day of events and games ending with a fireworks display at nine p.m.
The festival ends on Sunday with a community breakfast and worship service at the Methodist church.
