LA PLATA, MO --
You wanted to know more about any anti-bullying policies in Heartland schools.

So how are students protected from bullying in the classroom, playground, or school activities?

Principal Steve Safley from La Plata High School said bullying is not condoned or tolerated in any way, shape, or form.

He said they follow all rules and regulations from the Missouri State School Board Association.

School policy says all hazing, bullying, and student intimidation is prohibited. Discipline for those behaviors may include removal from activities, suspension, or explusion from school.

Safley said any student who is bullied should report it to a school official, and that all cases are investigated.
