Kirksville Young Professionals celebrate one year

KIRKSVILLE, MO -- It was a time of celebration for the Kirksville Young Professionals on Friday night.

The Kirksville Young Professionals of Kirksville have now been active for a year and members gathered for a celebration. The event was held at Jacob's Winery in Kirksville.

Festivities included drinks and food along with live music and karaoke.

Reports of the past year's accomplishments were given out along with a updates on projects to get underway in the next year.

The new executive board members were also introduced.

They include Erin Shaw(President), Ashley Rhea (Vice President,) Brett Moser (Secretary) and Scott Kellum (Treasurer).

New President Erin Shaw said the goal for year two is to get more involved.

"We want more people to come to our events. We have tried to increase the consistency of when these events will take place for the next year and that way everybody can attend. They will know what time it is going to occur in advance so they can make plans to attend," Shaw said.
