PUTNAM COUNTY, MO. -- Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster is refusing to file complaints against the Chairwoman and Vice Chair of the Putnam County Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees.
Two citizens filed affidavits with the Putnam County Circuit Clerk alleging that the hospital trustees, Duane Crawford and Nettie Lewis, had neglected their official duties including allegations of violations of the Missouri Sunshine Law. Those affidavits were filed on May 18th.
Putnam County Prosecuting Attorney Tom Keedy later announced that those complaints would be referred to Governor Jay Nixon and Attorney General Koster. However, the attorney general's office Friday released that they have filed a Refusal to File Complaint with the Putnam County Circuit Court.
