FAIRFIELD, IOWA -- The Fairfield Arts and Convention Center had a busy April. The center was so busy that an event was taking place at the center every single day of the month.
Rustin Lippincott, who manages the center, talked to KTVO about the great news. Lippincott told KTVO that over 3,000 tickets were sold to performances and events just in the month of April.
Participants were able to see everything from Off Broadway plays to art shows to comedy and magic shows. Lippincott told KTVO what is behind their success…
“I’ve got to be diverse but also recognize that people want to be entertained. And my formula is if I can get a performance or some type of entertainment and I can get it at price that is reasonable and affordable that people can see, than that's what I'm doing,” said Lippincott.
“Our market that we serve, from Ottumwa to Mount Pleasant and all parts in-between. We’ve got an agricultural community, a university community, a manufacturing community and an education community. All these people want to be entertained, so we try to provide something for everyone,” said Lippincott.
