ELDON, IOWA -- It's a bittersweet time here at the American Gothic House Center in Eldon, Iowa.
Outgoing administrator Molly Moser is spending her last week here in Eldon while new administrator Holly Berg is being trained.
KTVO spoke to both of them today, here is what they had to say.
"I've worked in other museums, history museums, science museums, and since I started working on my masters i've become real interested in art museums. It's a really big responsibility and i am really proud and excited to be apart of something that is so iconic throughout the United States and the world," said Berg.
"Working in Eldon has really taught me the value of volunteer service. I have about 30 volunteers that help out at the visitors center and without them the place would not run. They keep it open on the weekends, help out when i am busy with work and giving people a good experience," said Moser.
Moser has started several programs at the center, all of them have been successful. Through her leadership, visitors to the center have skyrocketed, bringing more and more people to Southeast Iowa.
