KIRKSVILLE, MO --
Creative works of art were on display at the Kirkville Regional Office Tuesday.

The fourth annual "Celebrate the Artist in You" art show featured masterpieces by those who receive services through the Division of Developmental Disabilities.

85 artists submitted artwork, including both children and adults.

The featured pieces included everything from jewelry and oil paintings to quilts and woodwork.

“Just because you have a disability doesn't mean you can't achieve great things in life, and you have that unseen talent,” said Advocacy Specialist Chuck Comstock.

Cash prizes were awarded to the artists who placed first, second, and third.

They had the option of selling their artwork. The art show featured pieces from artists in seven counties. Snacks, door prizes, and entertainment were provided for those who attended this year's art show.
