Iowans' opinions about legalizing Internet gambling are hardly a coin toss: 73 percent oppose the idea, according to a Des Moines Register Iowa Poll taken in February.

Fire chief: Careful with those grass fires

Over the weekend, the Washington County Communications Center reported Monday that there had been six reports of field fires in the county over the last weekend. Washington Fire Chief Tom Wide said as people are cleaning up from the winter, they need to exercise caution.
