OTTUMWA,IOWA -- The 2011 Ottumwa Home Expo officially began Friday afternoon at the Bridgeview Center.
The expo is a three day event. Over 100 exhibitors are on hand to promote their business, and give items.
Other plans over the weekend include artists promoting their work, seminars, and hourly prize giveaways. There's even a play area for children.
The expo will be open saturday from 10 A.M. to 8 P.M. and sunday from noon to 4 P.M.
One exhibitor, President of Huffman Construction Steve Huffman says is an event he participates in every year.
"It's an opportunity to give back to the community. I've participated in a lot of other home expos. The Ottumwa show exceeds above all others. It becomes more personal, on a personal basis."
The price of admission is $5. KTVO is one of the sponsors and will have personalities at the KTVO booth throughout the event.
