VAN BUREN COUNTY, IOWA -- A Heartland hospital project is one of three in Iowa to receive funding from the community facilities program through the USDA Rural Development.

The Van Buren County Hospital has been awarded a $774,000 loan to build a child-care and community services center.

Funding is contingent on conditions being met in the funding agreement.

Projects in Decatur and Lucas counties also received funding.  The USDA Rural Development program funds facilities for public use in rural areas.
