KEOSAUQUA, IOWA --
New information on an embezzlement case we brought you a few months ago.

A former employee of the Van Buren Community schools has been charged for allegedly taking money from the district.

Last October an audit by Nolte, Corman, and Johnson, a CPA firm out of Newton, shows that more than $36,000 went missing between July 2006 and last May.

Teresa McIntosh, of Keosauqua, was tasked with collecting and depositing that money for Van Buren's nutrition fund.

She faces charges of ongoing criminal conduct and first degree theft.
