KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- Saturday evening saw the wrap-up of the 2010 Missouri Livestock Symposium at the Kirksville Middle School.

Attendance for the educational programs that were offered was up over last year with people attending from as many as 12 or 13 states, according to Bruce Lane from the Adair County Extension Center.

Attendance was over 2,000 people for the two day event.

A featured event again this year was the Classic Tractor Contest. There were approximately 30 tractor entries with entries coming from the Hannibal and Palmyra areas as well as Moberly, Mo. and Southern Iowa.

The top 10 tractors were featured on KTVO’s Good Morning Heartland and viewers were given a chance to vote on their top 5 choices on Heartlandconnection.com. We received almost 800 votes during the week long vote.

The winner of this year’s Classic Tractor Contest was chosen Friday evening at the symposium and was Ernie Loft of Kirksville with his 1953 Farmall Super A.
