LEWIS COUNTY, MO. -- More than a year-and-a-half after a devastating fire at a northeast Missouri hog confinement operation, investigators have made an arrest in the case.

The Lewis County Sheriff's Office said William Watters, 27, of LaBelle is charged with second-degree arson in the April 2009 fire.

The Missouri Division of Fire Safety said the blaze at the hog confinement building in Lewis County did more than $100,000 worth of damage.

At the time of the fire, investigators were unable to determine an exact cause.

In October of this year, law enforcement officers received information that prompted them to reopen the investigation.

That new information and further investigation led to Watters' arrest.

Watters is being held in the Lewis County Jail on $20,000 cash only bond.
