OTTUMWA, IOWA -- The Indian Hills Community College showed their appreciation this Veteran's Day.
Faculty and students gathered in front of the administration building to salute all veterans.
A flag ceremony was held and yellow ribbons were worn in appreciation of our troops.
Veterans Affair Coordinator Teresa McNitt hosted the event and feels the ceremony was a success.
"Knowing that there is a large amount of presence of military right here on campus, it's very fitting that we're being a military friendly school to honor and tribute our veterans," McNitt said.
About a dozen veterans attended the ceremony, including a student veteran.
