The Daviess County Sheriff's Office said Nicholas D. McCleary, 26, of Rayville was arrested around noon Tuesday northwest of Pattonsburg.

McCleary was first convicted of property damage and a previous jail escape.

Sarmiento was awaiting sentencing for beating his roommate to death with a hammer, and Baudour was convicted of assault.
The men escaped Sunday night from the Daviess/DeKalb County Jail by crawling under a fence.
Two women are facing charges in connection with Sunday evening's jail break.
Kayla Evans, 19, of Osborn, Mo. and Samantha Bulson, 20, of Mexico, Mo., are both charged with aiding the escape of a prisoner.
The two are being held on $75,000 cash bond each.
Bulson is the girlfriend of inmate Timothy Baudour, who police say was the mastermind behind the jail break.
Authorities say Bulson and Evans cut the fence that allowed the three men to escape Sunday evening.
