KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- Law enforcement officers rushed to a Kirksville trailer park Thursday afternoon after a report of shots fired.

Police told KTVO a caller stated that there were people fighting, that someone had a pistol and that five shots had been fired off inside a mobile home.

The Kirksville Police Department and the Adair County Sheriff's Office responded to No. 7 Town and Country Trailer Court off north Osteopathy Street just after 3:30 p.m.

Police said when officers got there, they found two cousins arguing at that address.

The two guys allowed police to search the trailer, and no gun was found.

Officers said one of the men had hit the inside of the trailer door hard a few times, and that noise may have sounded like a gun being fired.

No one was arrested, and no charges were filed.
