ATLANTA, MO. -- An Atlanta, Missouri man is dead after the tractor-trailer truck he was driving over-turned.

Larry D. Phillips, 65, was headed northbound on Highway 3 in Macon County. Around 8:25 Monday night the right side of his truck dropped off the roadway, shifting the load he was carrying.  That Freightliner truck overturned north of Route HH on Highway Three and was totaled.

Phillips was pronounced dead at the scene by Macon County Coroner Brian Hayes.

His body was transported to the Elliott Funeral Home in Atlanta.
