KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- Fact Finder is putting an end to the rumor that a Golden Corral is moving into the former Goody's building on north Baltimore in Kirksville.
KTVO learned there is no truth to that rumor whatsoever.
Recently there were some crews doing exterior painting to the vacant building.
Fact Finder found out the property manager was having some cosmetic improvements done to make it more attractive to someone who might want to lease the building.
We contacted Golden Corral's corporate headquarters.
A spokesperson told us the company has no plans to put a restaurant in Kirksville, and Bob Walpert, the broker for the Goody's building, said he has not talked with Golden Corral.
He did tell us he has a couple of prospects as far as leasing the building, but nothing signed on the dotted line.
