ST. LOUIS, MO. -- A former northeast Missouri city clerk who admitted she embezzled well over $100,000 learned her sentence Thursday in federal court in Saint Louis.

Lou Ann Allred, 60, former Callao city clerk, was sentenced to one year and one day in federal prison.

She was also ordered to pay restitution to the City of Callao in the amount of more than $125,000.

Allred pleaded guilty to one count of mail fraud. She admitted she took the money between 2004 and 2008 while she was city clerk.
