FAIRFIELD, IOWA -- Residents of Fairfield, Iowa, attempted to make the area’s largest yoga class.

As part of the Sept. 25 Southeast Iowa Wellness Expo, specialists in areas such as nutrition, fitness, aromatherapy and detoxification gathered.

The event was hosted in order to give residents an opportunity to see all of the options available for a healthy lifestyle.

“Fairfield is a community that is well familiar with yoga,” said Melissa Gentry, instructor. “A lot of people in town already do yoga, but one of the great things about yoga is that people of any age, any body style, any fitness level can do yoga. There is a style of yoga for everybody, absolutely everybody.”

Participants were also given the opportunity to try out zumba dance classes, aerobics and pilates.

Guests at the event included Matt Hoover, participant in the television show ‘Biggest Loser.’
