KIRKSVILLE, MO -- More than 110 people laced up their running shoes on Saturday for the annual A.T. Still University Alumni Weekend 5-K Run.  A.T. Still University started in Kirksville 118 years ago in 1892.  The 5-K promotes wellness as well as helping raise money for a good cause.

“The Physicians for Social Responsibility Club is helping us put this on” said race organizer Dan Martin.  “All of the proceeds are going to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society; makes it a win, win, win kind of deal for the community.  Raise some money for a charity and give this club a chance to show their leadership and step forward.”

Martin said the 5-K has been an alumni weekend tradition for more than 25 years.
