RANDOLPH COUNTY, MO. -- One man is behind bars after leading authorities on a chase on Highway 63 across two counties late Friday night and into Saturday morning.
Grant Marsh, 49, of Springfield, Mo., is facing numerous charges including failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, felony DWI, felony resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and several traffic offenses, among others. He's being held in the Randolph County Jail.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says they received a report that a vehicle was driving erratically in Randolph County around 11:30 p.m. Friday. Troopers located the vehicle, traveling northbound on Highway 63 and attempted to stop the car.
Marsh refused to pull over and continued driving north on 63. Authorities say he never exceeded more than 10 miles over the posted speed limit.
The highway patrol and Macon Police Department both deployed spike strips to stop Marsh's vehicle when he reached the Macon area. His tires eventually shredded and he lost control of his vehicle ending up in the median south of Atlanta, Mo., where he was arrested by the highway patrol.
