JEFFERSON CITY, MO. (AP) -- The state Department of Natural Resources is offering guidance to Missourians seeking to dry out and clean up from spring floods.

The agency has updated its pamphlets on topics such as water pollution, boil water notices, handling asbestos-containing debris and what to do with waste.

But DNR says for information about public drinking water supplies, Missourians should contact their local supplier for the most recent information. Residents who use private wells that have been flooded should use boil order procedures.

A section of the agency's website -
www.dnr.mo.gov/disaster.htm - provides access to the pamphlets and other disaster resources.
